The K nut is a self locking nut due to the upper threaded portion being elliptically deformed. These are used in the same applications as NAS bolts where a good quality,high strength fastener is required i.e. Disc Bell mounting.

NAS bolts have been used in the Motor Racing industry
for over 50 years, this is partly due to the dimpled
head hex bolts having a minimum tensile strength of
160,000 psi and a minimum shear strength of 95,000
psi. Thread length is consistent within each diameter,
and grips are available in 1/16" increments beginning
at 1/16". Used in applications where a premium
quality, high strength bolt is necessary i.e. wishbone.
Oil Seal & O Rings are available. Here at Autosport Bearings and Components we carry a huge stock in a variety of materials such as Nitrile, Viton, Silicone & Neoprene. Single or double lipped for many motorsport sealing applications.
Circlips are also available in all designs including internal, external, e clips, wire rings and numerous others. Used for locating bearings to shafts and housings e.g. wishbones.
